AIS stands for Automatic Identification System and refers to geocoded information transmitted by ships to aid in navigation.

As contractor, I worked on improving a set of Python scripts used for handling 8 years of AIS data for an area of coastal waters off British Columbia, Canada.

Additionally, I integrated these scripts with others to collect vessel data from websites, creating a command-line tool for the entire workflow. I also wrote technical guides explaining how to use these scripts and provided support to the team.
